That’s why I dont play competitively since I hate competition and prefer playing fortnite casually and video games in general casually

It's so true, I stopped for the same reason. Nothing makes a game less fun than playing it competitively. It stops feeling like a game and more like work. Overtime the joy winning would bring didn't outweigh the grind

Something that is overlooked a lot is the hobbie vs competitive seriousness. Be it sports, table tops or video games when you decide to be serious you start to grind to put effort and a lot of times the hard work dissipates the love of the hobbie. There needs to be a sense of realism like you said what do I get out of it.

Do what you want, playing games competitively isn’t for everyone as it takes tons of time and skill and if you aren’t enjoying spending hours and seeing no results you just shouldn’t. Whatever you do and wherever you go your fans will always support you.

Dude, I was just told a few days ago, that I am just not skilled at Puyo Puyo. I said, I could never get into it, meaning the chains were kind of hard to set up against those harder AI. This, "man", really just told me I am just not skilled. Puyo puyo looks like any other casual quirky puzzler from the 90's. Then we have Super Smash Ultimate where it seems winning online triggers these sweats to appear like a match later.
