Apple Watch did indeed save a friends life. It gave him heart rate warnings, he was pushing 200bpm but didn't notice it. The cardiologist said he was the 2nd that day who came in due to their Apple Watch warning them.

My wife was in a car accident in Thailand and even though her watch didn't have the crash chip, it has fall detection and it called me automatically. I was able to get to her on my motorcycle before any police knew there was a problem...thanks to the Apple Watch 5.

Your effort in trying to break the format norms with your videos I think is underrated, and I hope to continue to see you out and about!

Yes Apple Watch is really helpful here. I am a doctor and during last year 3 patients came to me because the Apple Watch was warning high heart rate. 2 were diagnosed AVNRT, 1 was AVRT. All of them received proper therapies and recovered well.
There were some other cases that people were just trying out the ECG function and accidentally found out that they had got Atrial Fibrillation.

Now even I myself wears an Apple Watch....

This is basically my dayjob; I talk to customers about these devices, recommend, and sell.
In my market (US/Northern California), the absolute vast majority of consumers don't care about any of these features. They just want the thing they've seen on the commercials, and that's about it. The stereotype/myth is very true: they are buying it because it looks good, is easy to use, familiar, and everyone knows it is expensive. I ask what they think about the cameras: "oh, they take good pictures." Screen quality? "It's fine." It's a boring customer, but one that spends money.
The Watch Ultra will end up like the stainless steel variant of the Series 7: no one will buy it at retail. I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up being a one-off. It fixes the number one customer complaint at my store about the Apple Watch (durability, number two being battery life) while introducing a new complaint (size). The average normie will just get the 8, and we'll recommend that to avoid a return. Maybe the odd Patagonia-clad Adventure Dentist will show interest, but the Arc'teryx-sponsored Antarctic Nature Photographer will say the battery life isn't sufficient and that's what Garmin is for. These types do come in looking for memory cards and GoPros on occasion. I'm really not expecting us to even stock the Ultra in stores, as we didn't stock the SS.
Good riddance to the 3; tired of taking returns on those. We don't upsell to the SE for $50 extra rev, we do it because 3's get returned and SEs don't. Personally, I think the SE is the best watch for most iPhone users, as most don't use the 7's extra features anyway.
The Airpods Pro will sell fine; Apple can't keep up with demand on those and there wasn't really reason for a feature update. Again, when customers are asked why Airpods, majority think they are the only earbuds that will work with an iPhone and/or they want them for status/image. When they are sold out, it's usually an easy switch to Sony Linkbuds S or Galaxy Buds Pros. It's funny how shocked they are when they hear they can use whatever. Sometimes they'll go over-ear. Customers actually like it when we do this; they feel like they're getting the inside scoop on what 'tech-people' are buying and leave happy.

I actually really look forward to furthering this informal research and finding out what -regular- people end up saying about these new features, wondering if anyone will even bring them up.

Most concise and compact apple announcements from any YouTuber. This is the way people should explain information

I always thought the notch looked bad, but I do really like their software design for the punchhole camera. Unfortunately it's not cool enough to justify spending 1k on a phone especially since I don't care about the cameras that much, so maybe when it and usb-c come to the regular line I'll consider one.

The Apple watch has a very special place in my heart. I am a recovering open heart surgery patient and although the watch did not detect AFIB as it was not available in those years. What it does do is giving me and my cardiac doctor an overview if it is getting worse. It also alerts me if my heartbeats are going over a certain level. The detection of breathing (respiration rate) and blood oxygen detection are great to look into long term. I know we always mention: It has not much changed, I think the watch does not need too much change, the software is where it is at. I would have loved the airpods to have detection of temperature and maybe drill further into becoming a hearing assistant. The current settings on the pro are okay, but I would like to be able to tweak it a little more.

I got the 13 pro last winter, it’s great, only way I’d upgrade is if the iPhone moved to a USB-C. As for the added camera stuff, I use my Sony mirrorless for photos anyways, but.. I use the iPhone for videos

For real, this channel is really putting in so much creative and detail. Unlike any other channel or top creators of relaying the keynote and just pushing the content as quickly as it is announced. This channel is really putting real effort, paying real detail, open and honest conversations. Keep it up 🙌🏻

I think this gives a really unique style to what might be relevant or important from the Apple Event to most people. I know I'm sticking with my XR till we get the USB-C variant and kind of decided that last year when it was announced that the EU would force Apple to make the transition.

Loved the pacing of these videos, not too long not too short and not rushed. Just perfect 👌🏽

The iPhone makes sense to move to if you're due an upgrade.
The airpods make sense if you have been waiting for them.
The watch makes sense if you do more hard-core hobbies, or anything in general that uses your arms, the flat screen on the watch is worth the money.

Just a note to say more Mac Address content please. These really are some of the best apple videos out there and a welcome change from the usual LMG content (as much as I love that as well).

I'd really like a video on how exactly the removal of the option to use physical SIM cards is expected to make Apple more money. Seems like it's a very low cost feature to include, and vital to the point that people who travel may feel forced to switch to Android now that it's getting removed. It's such a radical feature removal that there must be a good reason for it.
