I FINALLY Got a New 4K OLED TV! - LG GX 65' (In-Depth Review)

OLED TVs are still the king of image quality and contrast because of the self-lit nature of the panel. This video reviews one of LG's new 2020 4K OLED TVs, the model OLED65GX (the 65" size of the GX series). The G stands for gallery, because this model is made specifically to be wall mounted, and therefore only includes a wall mount. A stand can be bought separately however. Overall the TV obviously looks amazing, especially because of the AI Upscaling thanks to LG's new "Alpha 9 Gen 3" processor, which I think is truly able to make some high quality 1080p content look like legitimate 4K. It also has a ton of future-proofing features such as 4K resolution with 120 Hz native refresh rate, and HDMI 2.1 . Be sure to watch the video where I talk about way more features and details.

In 1986 I had a 1980 25" Admiral color TV, console, oak case.
It was a piece of furniture, beautifully waxed wood grain, made in USA,
and required two men to move it. My touch tone telephone hung on the wall.
I drove a 1971 Chevy Nova, 4 door, 250 ci.

36 years later-
HUGE, HEAVY TV hangs on the wall, has a sharper image than my eyes
can even determine, it's 1" thick, made someplace else. My phone is also
a camera and a computer, barely fits my pocket. I drive an '89 Buick.

Thx a TON ThioJoe! Stumbled across this and made a page and a half of notes. I'm not very TV savy, but I have always enjoyed my 7.1 surround audio HW. I research a butt load on TV's and found this LG in the 77 inch to be ideal for me. I was all set to tell you about the ATSC 3.0 and antenna TV when right at the end you mentioned it! LOL, great job! My entire endeavor into the TV is because I am FINALLY dumping DirectTV and their ever climbing prices. I get my TV in 5 days, can't wait to set it up. BTW, I'll try to post something about the audio's ability to adjust for the room. I have a 10 foot ceiling and really noticed a difference when I put my Denon system here as opposed to my old house with 8 foot ceilings. thx again

Good review but you missed a couple of things, over the CX.

#1 Hands Free Voice control, no need to hold the mic button.

#2 Improved Internal 4.1 sound system

I just got an LG un7300 65" from Costco for $629. It's for my work from home setup. I would have bought a cheaper one, but this one has an IPS screen. It really helped my quality of life.

Very nice and useful review. I also bought an LG smart TV and I can say it's the best. The upscale work so well. Even a very low resolution video still looks much better even if it's not 4k or 1080p. Everything looks better

So the only difference between the cx and the gx is that gx is meant to be put in the wall and the cx isn’t, right?

Thank you for this video!!!! I’ve been searching for two things! One will I have to drill a huge hole in my wall just to connect my cables etc... and once I do that will it be hard to switch cables. And then I wanted to move it a little bit depending on where I’m watching it from thank you so much 100% getting the G1 now!
