A royal superstition

A royal superstition that made it necessary to change the appearance of a common dish. This superstition prevents members of the royal family from eating square-shaped sandwiches. There is a belief that anyone who serves the royal family food with sharp corners is trying to overthrow the throne of England. Instead, Queen Elizabeth, for example, favoured "Jam Pennies" sandwiches, which she enjoyed with afternoon tea. Incidentally, shellfish is also banned to avoid the risk of food poisoning. Also, family members do not eat garlic during working hours because it gives off an unpleasant odour and they need to talk to someone all the time.

Even though that I am a big fan of the monarchy, I think this is absolutely ridiculous. It’s kind of living in a fantasy world which they seem to be doing.

the superstition came from Prince Albert who didn't want rectangles because they looked like coffins.

‘Working hours’ and ‘royals’ being used in a sentence can only mean that the sentence was a joke 😂

Note to self cut the corners off sandwiches before serving a royal a sandwich. All seriousness though if some how life throws me a curve ball and presents me the task of serving a royal person dinner and all I have is bread, flat meat and I forget to cut the crusts off im not going to start an international war or something. I'm just joking a little but seriously I'm beyond speechless. I think 🤔 people think to much into sandwiches.

Will & Kate can eat all the garlic and onions in the world, because they never work. 😂
