Welcome to the first episode of our Craftsmen Works by ResKit series! In this exciting new venture, we’ll guide you step-by-step through the assembly of the legendary Hasegawa 1/48 scale A-7E Corsair II model, enhanced with ResKit’s high-quality aftermarket parts.
Many of you have asked for detailed tutorials on how to install and integrate ResKit’s parts into your models. To answer those requests, we’ve started this series of videos. Here, our experienced specialists will walk you through the process of detaching, preparing, assembling, and painting 3D-printed parts and model kits.
In this episode, we kick off the build of the A-7E Corsair II, an iconic U.S. Navy aircraft known for its elegant design and operational versatility. The Hasegawa kit was chosen because of its reputation for capturing the aircraft’s authentic look, making it a perfect canvas for showcasing ResKit's enhancements.
To elevate this project, we’re using the following ResKit detail sets:
A-7E Corsair II cockpit (Early version, Basic edition)
Detail set: Air intakes, wheel bays, landing gears, wheels, catapult shuttle, and holdback bar
Exhaust nozzle
Pylons for Navy version
Each set has been meticulously designed for accuracy and ease of installation, transforming a standard kit into a museum-quality masterpiece.
