Fort Worth police officer killed while working an accident scene

Fort Worth Police Sgt. Billy Randolph was killed while working an accident scene on Monday morning. Fort Worth police say Randolph was hit and killed by a car on 35W.

Heavenly Father I thank You for the time You allowed for this Officer to serve the community and others. Thank You for giving him a servants heart.
Lord God give comfort strength and precious memories to cherish to all who needs it.
Give wisdom in this tragedy if there’s something to learn so it doesn’t happen to another for officers working on accidents then help them know your wisdom.
And Lord God I also pray for the Driver who ran through the barricades and struck this officer. Lord be with this person and the family as well. If there’s something you’re trying to teach this person Lord draw him near to you. We go through this ALL THE TIME when directing traffic. People ignore our barricades, signals, and verbal directions because they think the only important thing in the world is what's going on inside their car or the phone their staring into. I've almost been run over more times than I remember in my 12 years so far.

They did not give enough context in this video. According to another video, the highway and the side roads were completely blocked off because a truck hit a wall, started leaking oil, and caught fire. If you look at the aerial footage it is obviously a barricaded area because ALL lanes were blocked off. It wasn’t someone accidentally sideswiping him. I bet it was deliberate that they ignored the barricades. This should not have happened. My condolences to the family and the other officers.

This is hard for me to believe that a driver killed a Fort Worth officer my father worked at Forth Worth for 40 years and i can’t imagine the pain the sadness of that family that is grieving the loss of their loved ones in memory of Stg.
