My headcanon for this scene and why the trap doors so close actually explains why the base was there to begin with! Eggman built the underground base incase of emergency. So ofc he'd have to have some way to get out if needed. And he made it with some Plexaglass I guess cuz he knew SNTs weakness?? Makes you wonder how strong Plexaglass even is-

For a ten y/o, making a fan character and comic for the first time, this isn't all that bad!
It's actually pretty cute, and it has its moments

So out of curiosity I decided to find out how much force it would take to destroy the plexiglass, and how much force it would've taken to make that hole that SNT made in Eggman's base. Plexiglass is 17 times stronger than glass, which requires 20000 to 24000 psi to break, so taking the higher number that's 408000 Psi needed for the plexiglass. For the hole in the wall however, I had more trouble, I had to estimate how deep the hole was based on the view in the first Pannel of Eggman's base (there seems to dirt on the floor leading from a point so I'm assuming that's where the hole is), and estimating the thickness of the wall to be about the width of a barrel, and assuming it's a concrete wall... Thats 1.6 MILLION psi. Again, this is just more of a rough estimate (this doesn't even take into account the pressure of the earth above the base), but still, SNT should've had no problem against the plexiglass after making that hole.

How much time did I just waste on this?
