My take on weapon banner is "if the 2 rated up weapons are good, then you can go for it. If 1 is dogsh*t like baizhu, shenhe and many more weapons, dont pull." Even though the weapon that you want is the one rated up

Honestly Bows are opposite to catalyst in that aspect, almost all of them are pretty good, even with this or that passive, they are easy to proc so evryone can benefit from them

I had a friend use his 5 star weapon and we both came to the conclusion sometimes the Atk% is way more worth investing on then crite DMG. I shouldn't be saying it because I have low crite DMG but my wanderer does more DMG with lower crite DMG and higher atk% its because crite DMG also benefits from atk%

Or or… get this; you pull for signature weapons which are always better than these and then don’t go for so many characters that you need 5* statstick weapons?

For Swords: Chiori's signature, Alhaitham's signature and Ayaka's Signature are all good statsticks. Primordial Jade cutter is a really good weapon but it's inconsistent when it appears as it's no one's signature.

For Bows: Yoimiya and Yelan's signatures are the best statsticks, Lyney's for any character that uses charge atk (most bow main dps)

the only catalyst weapons you really need are sacrifical/mappa mare, prototype amber, and the widsth. 5 star weapons are just decorations

I'd argue Lost Prayers is the best 5 star catalyst, not the high crit ones. The passive isn't going to be maxed out most of the time, but you're still going to get a stack or two. The higher base atk makes it viable in Bennett and no Bennett teams, although that also locks it out of HP scaling catalysts (which there aren't many of). It also has crit rate, and crit rate is hard to get in this economy.

Neuvillette and Mualani Signatures have completely useless talents and only work great on alternate scalings as their low base attack does hurt. A lot. Having too much crit dmg and not enough ATK% or Crit Rate can be a major issue. Yae's weapon takes too long to get stacks compared to Lost Prayers, and it's only on skill dmg compared to the Elemental DMG% buff.

In other words, Lost Prayers IS the generic option. Don't let the 250+ CDMG and Atlas copers state otherwise.

On catalyst, cant recommend any coz most of them are just stat sticks and aint even that universal (prototype amber and ttds are much more universal than any of the 5 star 😂😂)
