the "this is my final fit, bellyache etc" the instrumental arrangement was perfect, really loose and ready to fall apart but just hanging on the edge, fantastic

This transports me to a grey aircraft, flying over a grey Atlantic, searching for grey submarines, sometime in 1942. The aircraft’s radio operator picks up this song from a far away radio station and transmits it over the crew’s headphones, and it makes the long flight a bit more bearable.
