Please do more full covers with the telephone mic, I love the aesthetic of it so incredibly much.

You should chuck this full version on the Radiohead subreddit. Such a cool cover.

Sometimes I hear this song as a deeply damaged man coming desiring a mundane but less painful existance. After all the pain, the desire for "No alarms and no suprises" overides excitment or deeper fulliment.

Other times I hear it totally reversed as someone sufficated by a boring life. I love it so much.

Great cover, glad for a reason to come back to this song

This made me tear up. The acoustics take me back to when I was 3-4yr old and I’d wake up early to see my mom get ready for work. She always looked so beautiful and I felt safe

I can't tell what I love more the telephone microphone or the TV I grew up with 😭

You’re voice is so calming like a familiar dream about a safe place as a kid, it took me back to playing in my abuela’s and abuelo’s backyard with my primos.

I feel like I’ve just found a forgotten memory that has been distorted and faded with time. The weird thing is, it’s not even my own memory. It’s a false memory that feels nostalgic and reminiscent, but it’s actually just a perfectly designed cover made to remind you of nostalgic memories.

A heart that's full up like a landfill
A job that slowly kills you
Bruises that won't heal
You look so tired, unhappy
Bring down the government
They don't, they don't speak for us
I'll take a quiet life
A handshake of carbon monoxide
And no alarms and no surprises
No alarms and no surprises
No alarms and no surprises
Silent, silent
This is my final fit
My final bellyache with
No alarms and no surprises
No alarms and no surprises
No alarms and no surprises, please
Such a pretty house
And such a pretty garden
No alarms and no surprises (get me out of here)
No alarms and no surprises (get me out of here)
No alarms and no surprises, please (get me out of here)

The landline mic is SUCH a cool idea, you'd deserve credit for that even if this wasn't the best Radiohead cover on Youtube

This feels comfortable, nostalgic, and yet sad all at the same time. The use of the phone makes it feel like it's a mother telling you she'd sacrifice everything for you, and that you're going to be okay from halfway across the country.

Such a beautiful cover. This song has special meaning to me as my 6 year old son passed away a year ago and even though the lyrics don't really apply to his situation, this song would break me down. I'm stronger now and test myself to see if I still get upset when I hear this song and I've found I don't as often now. Then I heard this 🥲 So beautiful, it's hard not to feel something when u hear it. Keep up the good work!

The voice, the dressing style, the background, the hairs, the eyes, the mic.... everything just fascinates me so much...it gives me in some way that 80s-90s of America ...colorful, beautiful and even more unique in their own fabulous evening nights amidst the tall buildings....I just feel so relaxed when I hear to this voice ...its so good and pleasurable to hear 🥰🥰🥰🌹

Wow. This performance popped up in my IG so I found it on here. It's so spare, and the telephone mic gives the song an additional poignant distance. I am a big fan of this song and your version is very affecting and beautiful. Very nice!

Captured the spirit of the song perfectly. I listened to this on repeat at my job recently during times when you are so stressed you can't cry but you've got a full plate of problems waiting for you the second you finish rolling the boulder to the top of the hill for the day. Every day it resets, and some days you don't even accomplish the basic tasks. Every victory is a brief sigh of relief punctuated by the alarm going off again the next day.

The theme of this song reminds me a lot of "This is Water" and postmodern life. And I would say that work is an antidote or ounce of hope that addresses the themes in this song. Thom Yorke is avant-garde just like writer David Foster Wallace was when he was alive and writing in the 90s until his tragic passing in 2006. They were two artists of different mediums. Highly recommend if you're in need of something hopeful but real. It's hard as an adult to choose to not run your default settings. Anyhow, this cover made me think if it because the singer is of the generation that needs hope.

I'm rambling but your cover has given me a good cry. Wonderful performance.
Would you consider covering other Radiohead songs?

I want this video to go on forever... The gentle guitar notes, the soft voice, slightly distorted and fuzzy around the edges through the telephone... If there is liminal space, perhaps this is liminal sound. I can't stay here, I'm just passing through, but I want this feeling to last forever
