Live: RTE execs face second day of grilling at Public Accounts Committee over Ryan Tubridy pay

Members of the RTE board and senior executive team will face questions on the misreported payments scandal at the Oireachtas parliament’s Public Accounts Committee.

It is the Dail’s spending watchdog and it has been given powers through a fresh vote yesterday to look under the bonnet of the broadcaster.

It is the second visit from the RTE management to Kildare Street in two days.

They faced a gruelling four and a half hour session before the Media Committee yesterday.

RTE should be made refund TV License fee to all those people who have paid this fee to date in 2023. Additionally, the fee should be refunded for the previous 2 years (2021 and 2022) as a gesture of goodwill to the Irish people.

What chief of Finance would allow such behaviour to happen? A disgusting breach of trust. Shame on you RTE.
