How good is it?? FIRST DRIVE Enduro Comp Fox RC Crawler

This Enduro Comp Fox from the folks at Element RC has created quite a stir.
It checks a lot of the boxes to be a good performer...but the assembly processes left us second-guessing what was going to happen as we hit the rocks. Only one way to tell - get out there and try it!

The build you see in this video:

Shorten those rear lower links and clock the C-Hubs. Less chance of having a rod end pull off of the link.
Also, get rid of the offset in the rear wheels if they are adjustable. Tucking them in will help with the C-Hubs catching as well as providing more gate clearance.

Really good looking paint job. Truck runs well also!

That drive shaft you can try a spring in the shaft to push on the inner shaft to keep it in place

Great run, I would say it would catch there quite a bit, maybe as you change the angle may help that, thanks for the video Troy!!!!

Looks good. Crazy somebody actually messed up the geometry of the rear axle.

You don need to adjust the rear C-hubs.
They will give you the the same car hight as they are in the position you have now.
I think they're idea is to have the rear c-hubs the maximum possible to the front to facilitate the obstacles passage without compromised the final hight of the portals.
If you turn one of the rear c-hub and let the other in the manual angle (that seems strange) and check the car hight in the wheels fixation is the same hight in both sides.
Thank you for the review I have mine assembled and now I can barely wait to put it on the rocks! 🎉

Put springs inside the drive line to keep it from falling out... That's how I fixed my element drivelines when I was having same problem

Love the paintjob on the cab, that blue and copper works really well together! Would it be possible to drill a small hole in the back of the plastic housing for the driveshaft and add a screw or pin there to stop it from moving backwards too much but still have the possibility to take it out for disassembly or would that upset the balance too much?

Hello, is it please possible to get the stl from the mounting system? This idea is really really cool and i would like to use it on my cab.
Thank you

Love the video! How does the comp Fox rate against a vrd carbon/ stance and SCX10 pro In ur opinion?

8:04 you are really exposing the driveshaft and it’s not a very good pinion angle.

I like the chassis but the cheap way they did the rear portal with link style lockouts ruins it for me. I know it's for optional rear steer but man it looks very 2007ish.

This new release is just a ploy to keep their name in the conversation while they design something that will be comparable to whatever competitive current options are available at that time. Or ....this could be all there is.. hmmmm

Maybe someday, the music in videos will be on a separate track, one that we can turn off. It would instantly improve darn near everything.

The rear element portal axle isn’t good unless you do rear wheel steer. Trying to get it to drive straight is really hard and it wouldn’t have been hard for them to make an axle with fixed portal boxes. And the c-hubs will strip out and rotate on the axle tube. Element straight axles already had that problem but the portals exaggerate the problem. It’s over priced too.
