First impressions are so critical, people are wired to remember the one bad experience out of the 100 great experiences...it's just the way most are wired unless they have extensive training. It may not seem fair, or just.. it doesn;t mean you can make up for a bad impression later, it's just very difficult in an interview or business meeting.
