This was about my fifth try at setting up a Django project at pythonanywhere and this finally worked, so I am grateful.

I think that in some of the other tutorials, I missed the point about changing 'mysite' in two places in the wsgi file, so that led to getting a long series of error messages that I did not yet understand. Your tutorial was very clear on that detail. (One thing nice about pythonanywhere was that when I had problems, it was easy to make up a new free account and try again.)

There were two small things that happened differently for me when I did the tutorial. I know these things can happen because every system changes. I'll list them here in case someone else is confused. 1) At the point where you went to the web section, I couldn't do that immediately because first I had to create my first web app. 2) When the error came up for you when you first ran your site, mine ran the first time. Perhaps pythonanywhere changed something to avoid users getting that error, but it still is a good idea to define your source directory just as you did.

after "django-admin startapp djangoapp" on the "web" page i have only "You have no web apps" message, WHY ?

my username has capitals in it so when I try and search for the page it changes them to lowercase is there a way to fix this
