I tried to impress my driving examiner by pulling out $100 and bribing him but he reached in his pocket and pulled out nearly $600 and said "Pffft keep driving." 😭

Hey Rick! I've had my Learners license in BC for 4 years now and I finally decided to bite the bullet and go for my N. I've been very nervous the past 3 weeks and I binged so many of your videos and they helped me so much. I had my test today and I used your tips on how to get over test day nerves from a different video and it helped. I PASSED!!! I will continue to watch your videos as I strive to be better every day! Thank you so so much! Bless you! -Micah

Took my road test last week about two hours from where I live because the DMV is always booked in NorCal. Let me tell you.. Drove extremely well, parallel parked extremely well and while I'm slowing down for a stop sign, the examiner yells out my name, breaking my concentration while I'm stopping, telling me that she thought I was gonna speed past the stop sign. Needless to say, even though I still stopped behind the white line, her "intervention" was a fail for me. :D

Hey Rick, I'm not sure if you remember but I commented on a lesson of yours regarding manual transmissions...i just wanted to give you an update 3 mo this later and say that switching to a manual transmission was the best decision i ever made, and i learned with careful attention following your instructional videos...i am quite comfortable driving stick and i now understand through first hand experience what it truly means to have full control of my vehicle...again i just want to say thank you for the great instructional videos which are very thorough and cover every aspect of learning a stick shift...great videos I highly recommend this channel for anyone learning to drive for the first time, or even for a brush up on forgotten techniques

I'm, no, everyone is really going to need these excellent tips to pass the driving test! Quick question:

To gain access to driving class, we'd have to have what's called a TIP (Temporary Insurance Permit).. and to gain one, we are required to take a permit test. In regards to the permit test, will it basically be on what we've studied in the DMV manual? I'm just presumptuous because I've gotten insight about it recently, and I just wanted to know if that's the case, because if it is, then I will definitely take that step to commence my driving journey!

Thanks so much for the greatest of all driving tips! :D

Can you please make a video on you driving and showing us what to do for most of the situations on the road, because I just turned the right age to get my learners and I am about to take the test in 2 weeks and I was hoping to find a video that teaches the basic fundamentals for driving and you seem like that right guy to ask.

Would you please put a video for tips on perpendicular forward parking in a parking lot? I struggle with that. Thanks!

I failed my 1st drive test, mostly because of an incompetent proctor. She had the audacity to tell me I didnt use a blinker on 8 different turns, and said I didnt properly shoulder check at another 10 turns.(which I know was a load of garbage) Needless to say she was fired and the manager at the DMV I went to was extremely kind to find me another appointment within 1 week. I plan to verbally indicate every action im doing when I take the test on Monday.(Tell them im coming to a stop before the line, shoulder checking both ways, using a blinker, etc) So that way there is NO excuse for an improper evaluation.

Hey Rick! Thanks for the support and great advice during the live. Turns out I did my test today and passed! Only lost 4 points for using one hand on wheel while turning. I did it a few times 🙄 thanks you so much for everything. So, can I call myself a smartdriver now?

Would something like 41-42 mph be an ideal speed on a road that has a 45 mph speed limit for a driver's test? I'm scared of accidentally going above 45, but I also feel that a lot of the roads around my DMV are very bad/shaky. Not to mention whenever I'm on the most right lane of the road, sometimes when there's a car that's trying to exit a neighborhood I definitely try to slow down because he/she might pull out when it's not safe. Thanks!
