Is Postmil Necessary For Theonomy?

“Could you speak to the relationship between Postmillennialism and Theonomy? I see the appropriateness of desiring to apply God’s standards in all areas of life, but do not see the Scriptures necessarily saying that the outcome of applying theonomic principles will play out in this world as the postmill position believes it will. In other words, Can I affirm Theonomy without affirming Postmillennialism?

the theonomic position is parallel to a position which would advocate the continuing validity of typological animal sacrifices in spite of the fulfillment of those sacrifices in the antitypical sacrifice of Christ.
