Thomas, seriously thank you for the update of the laptop. I watched the first video and was so invested because of the laptop, but i still kept on doing my research on which laptop to buy. However, I have never let go of the XPS. so earlier today i've finally decided to buy it. BUT you just premiered this video and my heart dropped, i thought sth might've went wrong and you even had the X tapped on the laptop u scared me. Anyways im just so grateful for your reviews and helpful info. the fact that you are helping us by just trying to figure things out is just so trustworthy. Thank you for real Thomas.

I’m studying civil engineering and i just bought mine last week after watching your video. I’m not disappointed compared to the hp pavilion 15 i was using it is an absolute beast. Boot up fast and i can run revit, autocad, rsa easily i’m so happy with my purchase

I have pretty much the same model as you, bought it like 3 months ago. I wanted something with great specs and amazing design and at first I was very worried if I made the right decision because many people have experienced some issues with it, but I find it really great so far.

Hey to be honest I have had so many issues with this laptop, I have had it for 2 and a half year and I study architecture as well.
In the beginning I had many issue with cad and Adobe, then starting having issues with Wi-Fi, this issue has now gotten worst, as I don’t have Wi-Fi for more then half and hour and then need to troubleshoot.
As for charging you have to be careful it cant be shut down and charging as it overheats.
I don’t know wether I got a bad one but I think these issue are a bit ridiculous for the price of the laptop.

Thanks for the review! This was helpful to me, especially regarding the FHD. I'm going from an UHD to FHD and needed to get some impressions about the latter. The UHD is nice but I just need a powerful device that can do content creation with some modest gaming on the side. I'm going for an FHD XPS 9530, sporting a 13th gen i9 and RTX 4070. I have the 16" M1 Pro to manage my visual consumption needs.

Hey! I am thinking about getting a new laptop for my brother. He is a civil engineer and will probably use AutoCAD Civil a lot with little to no gaming. I am confused between Zephyrus g14 (6700S graphics) and Dell Xps 15 (RTX 3050). Which one should I get and are there better options for that price? (US$ 1700)
Would appreciate recommendations.

Something that worries me a lot is that the laptop gets hot
Have you felt that your laptop got hot?
I think it's normal for it to get hot with a long time of use but I don't think it should get hot with a few hours of use
