Pre-Algebra Lesson #12 Multiplying by Powers of 10 | Multiplying with Trailing Zeros
Показать описание
In this lesson, we will learn a quicker approach to multiplying whole numbers when at least one number has trailing zeros. Trailing zeros are zeros at the end of the number that are not interrupted by a non-zero digit. When we multiply two numbers with trailing zeros, we can cut the trailing zeros off of each number and then multiply the resulting numbers. We can then attach the total number of trailing zeros to the product to obtain our final answer.
