In this lesson, we will learn about the properties of division. We will begin by discussing the parts of a division problem. We will learn about the dividend, divisor, and quotient. The dividend is the starting number or leftmost number, the number we are dividing by is known as the divisor, and lastly, the quotient is the result of the division operation. We will also learn about remainders, which is the amount leftover from a division. Next, we will tackle how to perform single-digit division with and without remainders.
