Transformations Reviewer: Reflections, Translations and Stretches

Most general College Entrance Exams have a 'maths' paper or section and many of them have questions on transformations of curves and/or functions. If the rules that we discuss at 0:25 are digested and understood, then these questions are simply a matter of practice in both visualising the transformations and applying the correct algebraic rules.
At 2:10 we illustrate the transformation rules by showing two completely different transformation combinations to transform the line y=2x+4 to y=-3x-1. Then at 8:00 we answer two fairly typical transformation questions, which would not be out of place in a Maths High School examination or a general College Entrance Exam.

Note: In this video we only discuss the Reflection, Translation and Stretch transformation types - we will discuss Rotations in another video.
