The economy is grappling with uncertainties, global fluctuations, and pandemic aftermath, causing instability. Rising inflation, sluggish growth, and trade disruptions need urgent attention from all sectors to restore stability and stimulate growth.

The question is how to convert your salary into the investment funnel without double taxation. you pay taxes once it's earned, then buy stocks etc and get taxed again once you sell for gains. How do I skip the first tax stage? I want to invest over 300k on the stock market, how do I achieve this

The most depressing part of this interview is the fact that we have to wait 14 months for JT to exit

The more we subsidize housing the more it will cost. It happens every time and is well studied.
In BC they made a new home buyer tax credit which gave everyone $50k for a house. The effect was all the house became immediately $50k more expensive because everyone’s budget just increased that much. Supply and demand.

As someone who works in construction PP is 100% right about the bureaucrats getting in the way. Permits take forever. The changes we are forced to make do not improve the longevity, safety or enjoyment of a home. It only drives up the cost significantly. Desk jockeys don’t build homes. People with tools do

In Joe Oliver's 2015 / 16 federal budget, total revenues were $290 Billion,
Yet in Freeland's 2024 /25 budget, total revenues are projected to be $465 billion .
So even with a $175 billion increase in federal revenue, Freeland is still running a $40 billion deficit budget .
This is insanity .

Pierre Trudeau introduced capital gains tax in 1971. Before that, Canada had zero capital gains tax. If Pierre Poilievre cut it to zero, OH MY GOD every major company in the world will be coming to Canada and could set this country to prosperity to rival UAE, Dubai and the other oil rich nations.

I am in favour of taxing the wealthy but JT definition on who is rich is ridiculous. The $250K mark for capital gains is not taxing the rich at all. JT is hurting middle class, small business, and families who have saved for years to own a second property or cottage.

I believe Poilievre will be the hope of Canada. I love the reporter for her absolutely important questions.

To point out, this increase in capital gains tax is a retroactive tax .
If a person has spent years building up a business, cottage or second house, there will be a tax increase
on this asset they have spent years building up .

Gotta be honest.. I didn't like the non answer Pierre... If you don't roll back the tax and gun regulations Trudeau brought in ill switch to PPC for life.
