It actually hits really deeper than you may think.
The jagdpanzer was dead set on protecting the puma from the m18 who aimed his gun in the direction of that puma. The puma had no time to ask the jadgpanzer not to shoot at him and did the only thing he could to save the m18.
The music choice on top of that is just perfect.
This is perhaps the most beautiful thing I've ever witnessed in that game after many years of playing it.

And the sadest part of this, is that pzIV was also just defending his comrade from evil Hellcat. This just hits so deep, also makes think about the war and morality.
