The point made in the first few minutes about the electoral college and how the framers were pioneering with this new idea of an elected president is a good one. However, it has now been over 200 years and multiple democracies around the world have shown there is a better way: a national popular vote. Too often people get lost in the mythology of the constitution as this "perfect" document when acknowledging what is wrong with or outdated about it and fixing those issues is what we should be doing
