3D Opengl Game development log videos with commentary about my indie Java RPG game.

A bit of a longer devlog this week because there's a huge amount of content to get through! From icon effects to a new desert area!

Hey Matrix :D Man I was having some difficulties writing my engine and i stumbled across your tutorials - incredible indeed :D really helpful. I also found out about this dev log aaand it looks awesome :D keep up the good work and i cant wait until more tutorials are released

make some weapons and armour that have a minus enchantment which take away the original abbility and makes it worse like bad luck idk just an idea

Are you going to use a leveling system like runescape or just make it based upon items that you have?

Do you export the engine as a jar and load it in as a library in your game project? Or is the code for the engine in the same project as the game?

I was just wondering. Will the character models be changed at a later stage, or are you going for a simpler aproach like this?

1. How do you store text or other images in images
2. Armor
3. How do you render the other players in your multiplayer, like do you render the stuff client side or server side?

Hey ThinMatrix! Nice video, and love the new features. I was wondering what your output is on an event system that can be used to implement things such as a tutorial mode or quest system. I'm asking this because I've been searching every once in a while for the past month but I can't find an efficient way to handle "events", where any game object can listen for an event or change of another object and then do something with it. I made my own even system off the top of my head using Reflection, but I'm told it would be way too slow. Do you have any input on this? Would be great. Thanks.

Im just New to java... I try to learn it :) and i know how difficult it is.

Do you use an engine for developtment? Or something like ecplipse? :D
