I have an old 1979 polar craft 1656. Im up late planning to restore it adding shit to my cart. It has a 1978 35hp evinrude powering it. Some previously restored it but used wood and carpet. I want to pretty much copy what you did.

I can’t thank you enough for keeping with the channel man, shows dedication. And good to see you’re in tune with the comments lol. Really looking forward to some new content on your build and things you wished on doing the first time! You da man

I learned how to do solid rivets with an air hammer and bucking bar. Keep aluminum in aluminum and it won't galvanic corrode later on.

I thinking how difficult those rivets seem to be - and then you said they were stainless - that makes sense!

For the people looking for really good universal and removable rod holders I have 5 of the "Tite-Lok Black Widow Spider Ultra Rigging System" mounted in my boat, you can purchase additional base plates to mount them in and I've been using them since 2016 mostly for crappie but I also have and do use them for catfish and gar and then I take them out of the boat when bass fishing and the baseplates which I have 8 mounted are basically unnoticeable we've absolutely abused them and I haven't bent or broke one yet

Add a good water-tight sealant too any rivets you install in the bottom, or anything under the waterline, you’ll thank yourself down the road FYI

I'm new to boating and just got my first job boat. Your content is extremely helpful and informative. Currently building a predator 670 with a beaver dam.thank you for what you do. And in hopes of getting into the haters corner, here is an awful joke. What is worse than ants in your
Uncles.

My sub floors are made of milk crates cut up and pieces to size. With just matt on top. And if you do roller liner on again, use the rust oleum one, but put play sand in it. It will keep the non skid forever but also comes out with a really even consistency instead of the weird dragging and running it does just by itself.

Definitely like the cooler seat mod. Definitely need to upgrade my battery boat balast anchor sinker too

Hey that rubber o ring deal is pretty sweet. I’ve got a couple here and there on different stuff. But I use a plastic kayak eye on one side then the hook on the other. This way it all stays attached. Just put a zip tie on it or 550 cord for a handle. Once they broke since I riveted in the kayak rope loop things, I just used 1/4” bungee cord and that works better cause after you tie the knot. It’s already got a handle to grab with the extra after the knot.

Do yourselves a favor when removing aluminum rivets and go to the tool box and pull out a 1/2 or 3/4 wood chisel and go run it across the grinder so it's fresh and sharp...lay it flat on whatever surface the rivet is in and tap a couple times with a small ball peen- or a railroad spike- and it'll shear the head off slikkern snot!..then tap the body of the rivet out the back side and repeat. You can clear rivets so much faster and cleaner this way over drilling it aint even funny. I've been doing my rivet removal for years this way and only very seldom do I drill anything out...usually because I can't lay the chisel flat' or no space to swing the hammer to tap.

What i did to my Jhon boat is bought 5/16" aluminum round bar stock and I cut them about 3/8" long then simply tig weld the ends no more issues ever again! But I don't have a deck in my boat i like it better completely open no decking!

Your chair has mounts for a cup holder/tray. Just hooks on either side.

Glad to see some content on the ole boat! That build is the perfect cat rig. How has that predator held up without billet rods ? I wanna use a performance 670 governor bracket to get my stock mud motor up in the 4300 rpm range but I’m not sure if valves will float 🤔. Your opinion ?
