As a fan if platonism, Strauss etc you must have an opinion on why Aristotle, Plato’s student, committed philosophical treason by, in his book the nicomechean ethics, denying Plato’s idea of the forms.

You would understand that this is a death blow to Plato’s philosophy completely.

To deny the forms is to assassinate Plato intellectually.

What is your opinion on this epic betrayal?

Strauss doesn’t say what the good is yes, but what I believe his point is is that knowledge of the good is objective!

And this objective knowledge of the good is the only way to obtain wisdom

The opposite being relativism (sophism) which can never lead to wisdom because for the relativist objective truth is non existent, hence wisdom is also non existent.
