I love this! I’d appreciate your feedback regarding timeliness, and the need to consistently urge and remind the child. Our son is ADHD & ASD level 1. To say he is a day dreamer is putting it lightly 😂

We use school time as “work day” type thing for them. So they earn money based on grades. Just like going to work everyday and getting paid. They go to school and get good grades so quarterly they get paid for their grade. I didn’t love it at first. But since we worked it till it equates to a “work schedule” I was happier with it. Bonuses at work are a thing. Chores at home are a must. No financial benefit. However, there are extras they can do around in terms of the farm work that will earn them money. Farmhand jobs.

If every parent would look into doing what you are doing it would solve a lot of problems in the house because it would do more to encourage kids to help out in the house and also the little allowance incentive can be used to teach kids into earning things that they want instead of having to come to mom and dad when they see something that they become attracted to like it is the best thing in life to them.
I don't understand why there are parents who cannot see the reason to do this type of thing and meanwhile they are the ones having to deal with the whiny kids when the kids see something that they want and they have to go to mom and dad to get it and they say no and you know the rest of the story.
