Sous Vide Deviled Eggs - Total Game Changer!

Показать описание
Hard boiled eggs can be tough to get right, but cooking them sous vide creates foolproof, consistently wonderful eggs. The whites are firm but delicate, the yolks are set but not chalky, and they don't smell like sulfur. The resulting deviled eggs you can make are like nothing you've ever experienced.

Give this method a try, then customize the recipe to make YOUR best ever deviled eggs.

In terms of macros, each full egg (or 2 halves) has:
- 1g total carbs
-7g protein
-7g fat

NOTE: the eggs came straight from the fridge for this.

NOTE: I failed to mention in the video that the eggs came directly from the fridge for this video/method.

Heads up: the sous vide immersion circulator I used is having a limited time price reduction on Amazon. Regularly, it is $179, but it is currently $127. I don't know how long this deal will last, but the link is in the description.

To give you an idea of how good these are, my mother-in-law now wants to get a sous vide immersion circulator just to make this recipe.

Love meeting the mother in law. She's adorable! And who wouldn't trust her opinion?!

I learned this method years ago. Put your eggs in a pan and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil, cover with a lid, turn off the heat and set the timer for 10 minutes. Drain the water and fill the pan with cold water to cool off. Peel and make them however you like. Love your videos.

My mother in law adds a little pickle juice in to her mix and my hubby devours them. Great video

Thank you so much for giving me another item to cook in the Sous Vide! What a great tip on how to peel your eggs. By cracking the shell a bit then returning them to the ice bath this allows time for the water to help pull the shell of much easier.

Brilliant thinking with the egg rack! Barb is just as adorable as your wife! Lovely family!

Omigosh Steve, Mama Barb is adorable! And Terry looks just like her! I'll definitely be trying this method - for egg salad too! Beau monde seasoning is our family's go-to for egg salad.

What a great idea. I wouldn’t have thought to use sour cream in deviled eggs but I will definitely try it now.
We’re a sour cream loving family and we all love boiled eggs/deviled eggs. Boiling eggs was always such a pain in the ass, but now I’ve started using the Instant Pot to boil them and it’s amazing. 5 minutes in there and I have perfect boiled eggs- jammy yolks, non rubbery whites and easy to peel.

I love deviled eggs since going on Keto. I usually cook mine for 1 minute in the Foodi (6 large, directly from fridge) with natural release & they're not too offensive ( no Sulphury green ring), but I'm down to try them in the Sous Vide method!

Your MIL is adorable! I love how many of her mannerisms are shared with your wife, you see quite a few in just that short snippet. Thanks for having her on.
It's also neat to see how well you two seem to interact.♡

Thank you for saying in the notes that these are refrigerated eggs! This makes a huge difference and almost never mentioned

Great video. The best way to boil eggs. Your wife definitely takes after her mother and that is a compliment, beautiful lady.

I use cream cheese, Dijon, a little ranch seasoning and bacon bits in mine instead of sour cream and yellow mustard. They are so good! Also, I steam my eggs because I use fresh eggs from our farm, which notoriously peel horribly. The steam makes them peel perfect every time. But I definitely am going to try them with our Sous vide! Thanks for the video!

In the south mayo, mustard, s&p, and pickle relish are the ingredients in deviled eggs. Thanks for showing me a new recipe.

When I finally get a sous vide I'm going to have to try that method just for the hardboiled eggs themselves. I have never liked hardboiled eggs for the same reasons you were talking about in the video.
