I really wish Google would let you hide the gesture bar like you can on Samsung or other manufacturers. Or, at the very least, stop creating a black/gray box around it when 3rd party apps are open. There’s no reason in 2022 that we shouldn’t be able to hide it or it just overlay it like it does on iPhones.

One thing that I found in the Android 13 beta is that if you open up multitasking and have no apps open then it will get stuck on your screen until you click on it again, this is even more annoying if your're using gesture based navigation. Hopefully it gets fixed in Android 13 beta 4.
