Recipe for traditional Caucasian pilaf in a cauldron | This is how pilaf is prepared in the Caucasus

Pilaf is an oriental dish that has gained popularity all over the world.
I know that every nation has its own, special recipe for pilaf, proven over the years.
I want to offer you my own version of pilaf, which I have been using for years and am very satisfied. 🥰

⬇️⬇️⬇️ Ingredients 🥣⬇️⬇️⬇️

🔸Meat - 1kg (any is possible)
🔸Rice: 1kg
🔸Onions - 1kg (large)
🔸Carrots - 700 g.
🔸Tomato - 1pc
🔸Growing oil - 10 tbsp.
🔸Garlic - 2 heads
🔸Turmeric - 1 tsp
🔸Salt - 2 tsp. with a large top (or to taste) add the same amount to the meat.

⬇️⬇️⬇️Cooking pilaf⬇️⬇️⬇️

We wash the rice several times, fill it with warm water and set it aside to swell 😉
Cut the meat into pieces and fry in oil until golden brown.

First add the onion to the meat, also fry until golden brown and then add the carrots and after a few minutes the tomato.
This is a special feature, as the tomato gives a special tenderness to the pilaf🥰

Drain the rice, add salt and turmeric to the rice, stir.
It is especially important to add salt to the rice, because this gives the rice a special crispness.

Add ready-made rice to our frying and fry for a few minutes, stirring occasionally, and only then add 6 cups of boiled water.

Put 2 heads of garlic in the middle of the pilaf.
After boiling, reduce the heat to a minimum.

Leave on the minimum heat for 30 - 35 minutes, depending on the type of rice.

Our pilaf is ready! Enjoy your meal!
