Ayo Will - with solar panels: You face them South if you're on the Northern part of the map and face them North when you're on the Southern part of the map. Think of it like there's an equator on every map and the sun travels across from left to right for every day cycle. Here's where it gets weird though. The map actually has a "rotation" with the sun, which means the longer the wipe, the more variation you'll have from the sun, so, although the ground rules of facing north and south are there, it becomes askew depending on how long of a wipe you're playing. Not only is the Sun's position accurate to how it works in the real world, but the stars too. So much that people have been able to hypothesize where Rust takes place in the world (perhaps the southern end of South America). Hope this helps!

As far as I know, you always face your solar panels either north or south, but towards the center of the map. So if the map is numbered to 35, if you live above 17, they point south and if you live below 17, point them north. Hope this helps.

29:40 You place solar panels towards the center of the map. Rust light physics works by increasing the light at the center map, and the sun just gives a point for shadows to cast from.

You face the panels north if you’re in the Southern Hemisphere and south if you’re in the northern hemisphere. Good rule of thumb is to just point them at the equator from wherever you are.

After watching all week of twitch rivals, I have so much respect for this young man. You see it in the people he meets in game the respect given to him. And he has made Rust SO much more fun for me and my kids. We love watching him and his narration of the videos is just awesome. Keep up the great work Willjum.
