BET a real Christian organization? The worldliness of these people is very telling as to where they stand in Christ? Matthew 7:21-23 needs to be studied very carefully.

I know that the word endemic is used to describe diseases, but in this case I take the liberty to describe divorce as being endemic in christianity. Serious diseases, if left untreated can kill you.

Divorcing ones' spouse and remarrying another, while the first is alive, assures the guilty will face the judgment, eternal death. While you have life on this side of eternity, the only remedy/cure is repentance [leave the illegal marriage], which unfortunately the majority will not do.

Pastors like TD Jakes and his "new son-in-law" are the reason so many unbelieving, remarried christians will face the second death.

Because of the lack of sound doctrinal teaching, many people are offended when the topic of divorce is raised (it doesn't help when false teachers get into the ears of those who do not hold to Scripture). Yes, Elohim hates divorce, it tears a family apart and children are the ones who suffer the most.

But read the Word, it doesn't condemn the divorced, but rather gives instruction as to how to not commit the sin that will damn you to eternal separation:

1 Corinthians 7:11 But even if she does depart, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband. And a husband is not to divorce his wife.

Romans 7:2 Thus a married woman is bound by the law to her husband as long as he lives; but if her husband dies, she is discharged from the law concerning the husband.

Luke 16:17-18 "It is easier for heaven and earth to disappear than for the least stroke of a pen to drop out of the Torah.  "Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery, and the man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery." Yeshua haMashiyach

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 "Do you not know that THE WICKED WILL NOT INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF ELOHIM? DO NOT BE DECEIVED: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters NOR ADULTERERS nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders  nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of Elohim.

Notice that the Word does not pronounce judgment on the divorced, but rather on ADULTERERS - those who divorce and remarry while their spouse is still living - Luke 16:17-18

Many are quick to refer to Matthew 19:9 as grounds to divorce their spouse, but remember that the Tanakh was the only Scripture that Yeshua and the disciples were referencing.

So to understand Matthew 19:9, you must look at Deuteronomy 22 and 24 explaining what is marriage, divorce and remarriage:

Deuteronomy 22:13 'If a man marries a woman, has sexual intercourse with her and then, TURNING AGAINST HER, (the KJV does a terrible job at translating this verse; (KJV )Deuteronomy 22:13 If any man take a wife, and go in unto her, and hate her, )

Deuteronomy 22:14 and MAKES UP CHARGES AGAINST HER, SLANDERING HER by saying, "I married this woman; but when I lay with her, I did not find evidence of her virginity."

Deuteronomy 22:15 The father of the young woman and her mother shall then submit the evidence of the young woman's virginity [the broken hymen] to the elders of the city at the gate. He had already penetrated her breaking her hymen.

On the other hand, here is a young man who examined her first to see whether the hymen is intact, her vagina is covered. Finding no hymen, he now has Biblical grounds for a legal divorce, not 5, 10, 20 years into the marriage.

Deuteronomy 24:1 "When a man takes a wife and marries her, and it happens that she finds no favor in his eyes because he has found some uncleanness [nakedness, no hymen] in her, and he writes her a certificate of divorce, puts it in her hand, and sends her out of his house,

Deuteronomy 24:2 she leaves his home and goes away to become the wife of another man (proof that he had not penetrated her, thus consummating the marriage).

The period between the payment of the dowry and the ceremony leading up to the night before consummation is the betrothal period, so it's the betrothal that is annuled by the writ of divorce, not the marriage.

Matthew 1:18 Now the birth of Yeshua haMashiyach was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Yoseph, before they came together (consummation), she was found with child of the Ruach haKodesh.

Matthew 1:19 Her husband Yoseph, being an upright man and wanting to spare her disgrace, decided to divorce her informally.

Actually it wasn't "disgrace" he wanted to spare her from, it was the penalty of death!

Deuteronomy 22:20 If, however, the charge is true and no proof of the girl's virginity can be found,

Deuteronomy 22:21 she shall be brought to the door of her father's house and there the men of her town shall stone her to death. She has done a disgraceful thing in Israel by being promiscuous while still in her father's house. You must purge the evil from among you.

Rightly dividing the Word you will find that a lot of what people think is Truth is merely speculation, myth. Like the Pharisees, they look for any reason to end a marriage even after many years. So they look for "teachers" who will tickle their ears, like this false teacher:

2 Timothy 4:3 For the time is coming when PEOPLE WILL NOT PUT UP WITH SOUND DOCTRINE [THE WORD], BUT HAVING ITCHING EARS, THEY WILL ACCUMULATE FOR THEMSELVES TEACHERS TO SUIT THEIR OWN DESIRES [FOR WHAT IS FORBIDDEN],

2 Timothy 4:4 and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander away to myths.

To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this Word, it is because they have no dawn. Isa 8:20

PS; He's a false teacher, not because I said so but because the Word says so. How can he be a man of Elohim by breaking Elohims' commandments and teach others to do so?

Both have divorced background & their own kids. The world need experienced couples like you as I have seen, heard, & observed many unhappy & unfulfilling marriages creeping into younger married couples 2day. Stone wall attitude & male egos play a dominant role. Best, I m single.
