I'm glad Xbox has come out bluntly said they're dedicated to game preservation. Nintendo, they've let many games die and left stranded on several systems to re-sell on newer systems and the doing the cycle over again.

Now they're just wanting people to pay for NSO to play the older games even though may, me included, personally bought several games more than three or four times.

*Xbox outage*
Can someone educate me on something. Why were there a lot of Xbox gamers saying they could not play any of their games during the outage. I was able to boot up all my Series X games, some of them flashed up an error screen but gave the option to play offline and worked fine after that.

But lots of others were saying they were not able to do anything at all on their consoles.
All my games are digital downloads. I have never used game pass EVER or use online gaming services. Single player gamer only.
Does using one of those services compromise the ability to play games when their is an outage?
Very curious about this.
