Great organizing and decluttering tips - but your encouragement at the end is priceless! And let me mention the flip side of how one comment can be so damaging - just one comment can be the encouragement someone needs! Sixty years ago, a sweet pastor's wife thanked a teenage boy who had given something to her by saying, "Thank you. You will be a good provider." That comment planted a flag in the heart of that boy, abused and unloved at home, and guided him as he grew. I've been married to him for 54 years, and he has been a good provider and has loved us all so well. It was a great lesson for us - look for opportunities to speak encouragement.

"Organize for your space, not your stuff." Why do i feel so stupid that i actually NEEDED to be told this?! It feels so dumb for "hey, you just have too much stuff, how about just keep what you need" to be an A-ha moment! 😂

The only thing I did today was deep clean my bathroom floor (even behind the toilet), and I felt that I accomplished a lot!

I that you are like, “throw it in the garbage” in an era where people sometimes shame others for throwing away literal trash.

I’m so glad that she mentioned The Home Edit is not for real life. I grew tired of watching that stuff and hoping one day I could do that nonsense. The Clutterbug method helped me figure out my organization style and my house is AMAZING now. Thank you!

I’m so sorry that she got to you and made you feel self conscious about your smile. You have an absolutely beautiful smile. Your energy, smiles and laughter at so contagious! You’re very motivating and I absolutely love your stories at the end. Thank you for being you!

I live in a tiny house, and when my husband passed away, I realized how much stuff we had accumulated in just 5 years, so I have literally been decluttering for the last few weeks, I have donated 27 contractor bags of brand new stuff, it makes me feel good to give it to someone in need and to see my house again. I am also going to reconfigure my house and get rid of multiple appliances and replace it with one. Thanks for the inspiration.

Oh my goodness, you are adorable just as you are! No fillers, no anything plastic or otherwise artificial needed. Your expressions, your energy, enthusiasm and vibrance all contribute to your beauty. Stay real, and genuine, and confident.

Love you and your helpful tips, Cass!
* Don't try to organize the whole house at the same time. (Decision fatigue is real!)
* Sort into 2 piles: KEEP or GO. Then do the KEEP pile further.
* Don't buy containers first without knowing its purpose. Only buy containers to fit the space or use/recycle something that you already have.
* Don't try to aim for "Pinterest-worthy" right away.
* Only organize for function!
* Goal is to have it better than it was yesterday.
* Don't try to organize clutter...
¹. Declutter first, ². Organize!
Only have things in your home that you use and love.

You’re SO right. It took me an entire day to clean out under my bed. An entire day to clean one small closet. Don’t kid yourself— it’s exhausting and takes a lot of time

As someone with adhd I thought I could never have a clean and organized home. I thought I would be stuck forever in a cycle of getting everything set up and organized just for it to be messed up again. Seeing you (a woman with adhd) not only succeed but thrive through organization is so refreshing and motivating. If you can do it why can’t I? You’re videos have given me the confidence to try and take my life back from my stuff. Thank you so much, great video and great channel!!!

This video was perfection! I needed the reminder that my organization doesn’t need to be visually perfect. I wasted so much money last year trying to achieve this and ended up less content than ever.

Also, I have never thought anything about your smile other than it looks joyful and genuine, which means it’s beautiful. I also didn’t know a “gummy smile” was a thing, and tbh I’m still not convinced it’s a thing. I’m glad you see the humor and ridiculousness of it, but I’m legit angry for you. How DARE someone tell you that the reflection of your happiness doesn’t look like her ideal.

The 'don't buy containers before you have a purpose for them' is THE ONE. I measured a set of badly used drawers (after throwing out the crap that was in them), and spent a week shopping around for containers that would fit them exactly. I didn't care what they looked like, I just cared about the measurements. I found them (metal shower organisers in the end!), I used string to make compartments in them, and now I have all my art pens organised in my drawers, separated by type and colour. JOY. <3
