When I make my 15 bean soup I cook it in vegetable broth and then I saute the onions, garlic and some diced celery in bacon grease and then add that. I always add the seasoning packet but I also add a little bit of smoke fllavoring and a little bit of zatarain's Cajun seasoning. It is so damn good.

I recently made a similar recipe but used my instant pot. By using my instant pot I shaved off a good 45 minutes or more. Turns out great 😁

Soaking the beans ahead of time wouldn't "add" too much to the cook time. It's just soaking beans. The other questionable stuff she does takes way more time than just prepping beans to soak. Go gurl
