The Trial Of Doctor Strange V. Fans Of Iron Man

No one is over the sacrifice Tony Stark made at the end of Avengers: Endgame. The hero that started the MCU in the first Iron Man brought its first saga to a close with his noble snap and fans are still angry. Because in all of this, there’s one man to blame! No, not Thanos, Doctor Strange!

We all know that Doctor Strange looked into the future and saw 14 million timelines until he found the one timeline where the Avengers won. Most fans trusted that Doctor Strange was right when he said that this was the only way that they could possibly win. What if we’ve all been deceived though? What if Iron Man never had to sacrifice himself at all?!

In order to figure this out, we’ll have to dive deep into how the Time Stone works in the MCU. The first Doctor Strange established clear rules about how the stone worked. These rules seem to conflict with the narrative that Strange is peddling in those last two movies.

That’s not to say that there’s no defense for the Sorcerer Supreme. It’s possible he may have been playing a bigger game than any of us realize.

There’s only one true way to decide this, a fake court case where we lay out the facts and let you, the noble jury of YouTube decide!

So let’s cut straight to it. Here’s the case against Doctor Strange and whether or not Iron Man had to be sacrificed in Endgame.

Dr.Strange went ahead to see all possible outcomes. However, he was interrupted after only seeing 14, 000, 605. It is possible that he could have seen more. The Ancient One was using energy from the dark dimension to see the future; Dr.Strange was using the time stone. Different energy, different abilities. Dr.Strange could see past his own death.

If Strange is out on trial and he demands a trial by combat, he better choose Gregor Clegane as his champion.

Imagine making doctor strange the bad guy... he's not even that bad as others think of him. You all forget that he is an actual doctor, he swore an oath to not cause harm to others. He probably chose one timeline that caused the fewest death. Besides, imagine living through all those millions of timelines with the same people, i think that decision was hard for him too but he decided not to show emotions as the others might get an idea about it. He is not guilty, and the only thing he deserves is lots of hugs because that man died basically millions of times now (dormammu and the alternate timelines). I still wonder how is that man still sane after all he went through.

I believe that it is not Stranges fault. I say Star Lord is guilty. If he just held up his cool, Spider-Man could have taken the gauntlet of Thanos therefore avoiding the whole thing. Not only does this save Iron Man, but also Black widow who never even got a memorial service. I “rest my case your honor”.

I mean the first issue is trying to justify that he can't see past his death, if this were true he wouldn't see a single future where they win, as he gets snapped by thanos.
Now seeing as he did see past it his death, assuming to the point of his return five years later, he coulda stopped as soon as he found 1 event where they win, I don't think strange would stop searching so soon and tried to find more scenarios. no one is powerful enough to go toe to do with thanos, even captain marvel. eventually all the avengers would be wiped out and she'd be last standing if she didn't try to sacrifice herself for anyone, 1 captain marvel vs thanos and his army, we all know who'd win. Tony was the only one who had the tech to steal the stones, they couldn't rip the gauntlet from thanos as we could see this version of thanos was much stronger than infinity war and more cautious, and tony's not about to give his glove to someone else and let them take the risk, this was his redmeption for everything he's done, he went out on his own accord, not because of strange, but because he knew it was the only way

He is not guilty. He can’t see passed his death and he lead the avengers to the right timeline where they win. Thanos could’ve killed iron man in infinity war but strange traded the stone for his life spared.

But Dr. Strange can't see past his death so he can't confirm they win

He wasn't sacrificed, Tony chose his destiny, he chose to save the universe.

"Strange didn't look too upset" *literally shows Strange with a look of utter horror after his visions*

Also there is a deleted Endgame scene where Strange kneels for Tony and looks devastated and feels immense guilt. Killing people goes against his morals as a doctor and a character (remember how he felt when that zealot died in his movie?) In ENDGAME we see him fighting outriders, and if you slow it down people have noticed that Strange didn't kill them, but transferred them to a different dimension instead. This is because of his morals at the time. To have those morals for your enemies and not for an ally at the same time doesn't make sense from a character perspective.

Thanks for listening to my TEDTalk.
