Victor’s Mustang Back on the Dyno – Can It Take on Cleetus?

Victor Alvarez’s 2011 Mustang is finally coming together! In this episode, we install a new UPR suspension, a Circle D torque converter, and a fresh set of Billet Specialties wheels before putting it on the dyno to see what it can really do.

Now running on E85, we’re aiming for 700+ horsepower to make sure this car is ready for the Top 10 Street Car List race. With Cleetus McFarland in our sights, we’re dialing this thing in to be a real contender. Can we hit our power goal? Watch to find out!

I’m only watching this bc of Vic and Cleetus etc, but it’s so refreshing to see a well established shop giving details and how-to demonstrations for the public. There’s so many people who can’t get into cars the way they want bc they can’t afford to send them to shops. Shout out to PBD.

Being married to this car isn't really a bad thing. You are already known in the ford world for your amazing work. I had a buddy of mine using your tuning in a 2019 twin turbo gt with a 10 spd out of houston Dustin D. The car had limited suspension tuning and made about 1100 hp on 8 psi of boost. I say limited because I know the guy, he put on good parts but one night on his lift I found a cross threaded and loose lower rear shock bolt on the car😂😂. Anyway victor is know in the 2jz world and cleetus is associated with him. From a marketing stand point, cleetus is a cash cow in the automotive world lately

Hey Ken seeing those lower control arm dropping points reminds me of the old and extremely good working Southside Machine lift bars SSM! They weren’t adjustable but lowered the mounting point to change the instant center of the suspension and the car would lift on launch! People think that a car squatting is it transferring weight on a solid axel car it’s actually the pinion gear trying to climb the ring gear and makes the rear go up into the car! But set up correctly you use that force to push the back of the rear down and plant the tire! You mentioned that a car should rise on launch but some don’t know that, good luck moving forward with this car
