I bought, and started Tyranny as my first real time with pause CRPG after seeing your 100% review. One of the best games I’ve ever played. Feels criminal that it’s release passed me by.

Tyrany was so cool, it's a shame how little attention it got

This channel has been one of my favorite finds this year. Every video is something I want to watch/enjoy watching

Planescape torment and Baldurs Gate 2 are - even 20 years later - still among the best ;O).

This lifelong Mac-owner plans to get his first ever PC this year, at age 40, to begin getting into the world of windows-only indie titles, niche visual novels, and some of your beloved CRPGs. As a new gamer, so far my faves are:
Shin Megami Tensei 3 Nocturne
Yakuza Like a Dragon (diggin the theme of starting over at 40 lol), and
Disco Elysium, the game that got me exploring what else the world of CRPGs & tabletop roleplaying might catch my interest. Thanks for the work you do for this channel!

Oh Tyranny... Everything about it is so on point and conceptually coherent.

I think you always remember your first CRPG experience as something really special, no matter the brilliant games you play after that. For that reason, even though DOS2 is arguably more fun, my favourite will always be Pillars of Eternity which introduced this beautiful genre to me

Wasteland 3 was the first CRPG I played. And I fell in love with the genre. Now I've been going back and playing all the CRPG's! Love your content

Its definetly a pearl on the cRPG sky

I can see Wrath of the Righteous near the top of this list by the fall. That game looks amazing and the character creation alone is ridiculously deep.

Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura on Steam is by far my favorite. I wish Obsidian or another company would get the IP. All but Tyranny I have played each of these are excellent games.

Nice list. I wish I could like Kingmaker as much as you. I sank 106 hours into that game and I still can't say that I enjoyed it more than I didn't.

One thing that amazed me about Wastland 3 is how good the music is. You get that first boss fight and washed in the blood of the lamb starts playing. Hooked me on the game.

For me it's:

1. Baldur's Gate 2
2. Planescape Torment
3. Pathfinder Kingmaker
4. Neverwinter Nights
5. Icewind Dale
6. Divinity: Original Sin
7. Pillars of Eternity: Deadfire

Tyranny is a unique game in many ways. But the lack of enemy diversity make the combat boring sometimes. Still one of my personal favorites though.

I love Pillars 2 but Pillars 1 has a special place in my heart for not only being the first but I believe it captures the overall world and tone perfectly in the first one. Plus it’s more traditional fantasy and a lot closer to Baulders Gate 2 then I think the second is but never less both are amazing. I have them both at 1 and 2 on my top 10 list but I value story telling and word building over combat mechanics and I realize that’s not for everyone. I’m so exited for Avowed and I hope you cover it on this channel even though it’s not a classic rpg.

Such a shame that Tyranny will probably never get a sequel :(
