I've wanted to start vlogging for years, but my social anxiety stops me from doing it. I can't even film my regular youtube videos if i'm not home alone. It's not that I care what other people think of me, I really don't. It's just that I don't want people to eavesdrop or stare at me. I was bullied for three years in elementary school so I just started never wanting to be the center or attention, and I've gotten so far and am now free from most of my mental disorders but this is just the one thing i'm still terrified of doing. Thank you for making this video though, really appreciate someone trying to help people like me. :)

The business card idea is such a simple thing to do but that's such an effective step! Not only does it give you authority to other people but if you qualify for business cards you're taking yourself and what you do now seriously!

I didn't think people staring at me would bother me, until I started vlogging. It does get awkward, especially in a decently small town like mine, but I've been surprised by how supportive people are once they learn what I'm doing. I have many friends that support my daily vlogs that I never thought would ever support them. These are some great tips, and I'll have to try the business card one next time I'm out :D

This helped me so much! I have been making videos since 2010, but most of them have been filmed at home because filming in public is so embarrassing for me. You have a point to just mention Youtube since everyone knows what it is. I like that point a lot! I will try that next time I go out and maybe continue to film in public again. :D Thanks!

Great video Joshua! I struggle a bit with the awkward vlogging syndrome, but I think that's mainly due to the fact that people in my town don't like to be filmed and put on the internet and also watch YouTube as much as use it to listen to music. I don't care about the negative perceptions people have of me when I'm vlogging, but it's a bit difficult to get exciting shots for my viewers. I like your business card idea though, I may have to use that. Again, great video and happy geocaching!
