Saban makes 10 million a year and has access to a Private Jet, while the University of Alabama on top of that pays for his home. These coaches make me laugh. They'll take a job in the spring, sign a 5-year contract and by the end of their first season are on to another higher-paying job with no questions asked.

The real reason is that D-1 coaches don't have the same leverage they once had over the players.

I hope all collegiate athletes in every college sport capitalize on their athletic achievements. The pandoras box has been open and it cannot be closed. For Saban and his ilk, they cannot control players anymore and that bugs the hell out them. Which is good to see him loose control and squirm a little bit.

I wonder how good of a coach Saban would be if he didn't have the top recruiting class every year. He seems bitter that his monopoly on college football is coming to an end.

If it's not a business why do coaches get paid like CEOs? Why are coaches making more than all the professors combined at the schools they coach for? If the players are paid, do they all get the same pay like employees of a business or is it based on their ability or a contracted amount? Does each player have their own individual agent to negotiate a contract at the school? When do players stop being students and become employees? Do the players get any earnings from jersey sales? Just some questions.

Why Saban got into coaching in the first place? To make millions, and he's upset that the players he coaches are finally getting a piece of the pie.

Almost every school has paid players, but you have pure coaches and corrupt ones. Yet its times boosters paid students, when coaches didn't know.
