OmicsLogic Training in 'Biomedical Data Analysis using R & Python' - For LBRN | NAIPI | LSU

This program is designed to introduce beginners to the application of python in bioinformatics and biological data analysis. After the orientation we will cover the elements of data science in Python, such as data wrangling, visualization, statistical analysis, and machine learning. The methods will be reviewed in the context of biomedical and other scientific problems using -omics data. The exercises focus on importing and understanding various data types, transforming them into categorical variables, continuous data and extracting meaningful patterns for visualization. It is a minimalistic and intuitive language with a full-featured library line (also called frameworks) which significantly reduces the time required to get your first results.
