For a better finish. Do a thin fog coat first! Let it set up for 30 to an hr. I typically spray all the doors and drawers and by the time i finish the fog coat on everything the first one is ready to coat. You are holding the gun way too close! You gotta let it atomize more . 12-16 inches Off the substrate. Crosshatch is over kill, 2-3 even thin coats is the way. I have spoken.

I worked at a cabinet factory for 6 years as a sprayer. One coat then a clear coat is all thats needed.He couldve sprayed six more doors with all that paint.

Serious question: why do you stop the flow of paint for every pass? Why not just keep spraying but go off the piece then back on?

I miss spraying I work for a huge cabinet shop when I was younger but they went out of business so put a bad taste in my mouth but it was a very fun job my mother is actually a master finisher it's a lot harder than it sounds she can match any color on any surface with any material

I once had a boss that told my everytime you let go of the trigger you aren't painting anymore. So I learned not to let ho and I'm way fast and no paint spits
