Can relate to the "did not sleep when I could sleep" during labour. Absolutely too excited to sleep, and had so many last-minute things to do.

Waters broke 4am, contractions started 10pm, baby born 1:30pm. Could not sleep more than 1hr at a time from the time contractions started to about two weeks later, and it wasn't the baby's fault, that was just how my body reacted to the trauma of childbirth.

Moral of the story: SLEEP! Give your partner a list if need be, but you, go to bed while you still can.
