Criticizing the Israeli government and its actions is NOT anti-Semitic. There is a difference between a government and a religion. There's a serious problem when people, especially those at law firms and professors and administrators at ivy league universities, are incapable of discerning that difference. It is perfectly possible (and should be acceptable to anyone with even a modicum of intelligence) to criticize the actions of the Israeli government while having no feelings whatsoever towards people of Jewish faith. As for Yale professor Jeffrey Sonnenfeld, he proved that he is beyond stupid and that he has completely rejected reality by claiming that CEOs are "the most trusted voices in society".

"CEOs...they are the most trusted members of society"... who is this guy kidding? Is he being paid to say that by some CEOs?

I can see how this could very easily trend toward blacklisting anyone who is critical of Israeli policy including the current massive human rights violations in Gaza.

"Free speech does not mean there are no consequences for free speech"??? When you punish someone and make them pay for their speech, it's not free speech. Myself, I'm on Israel's side, but if someone is on the side of the Palestinians, that's fine with me. Everyone should have the right to believe the way they choose and to express those beliefs. Fascism is defined as intolerance to differing views. The ones who are blacklisting these students for their differing views, are fascists.

Can some suggest a word to describe this ? A teacher thought his opinion about the war is morally right and used his position Not only to silence his own students right to freedom of speech but deprive them of chance to find jobs as a punishment ?

If you want to know who controls you, check whom you are not allowed to criticize.

Nothing new here - American the land of the Free!! Several of my friends, who are middle eastern people - who had senior positions - lost their jobs after 9/11. Even though they had been in the US since they were very young.

That professor is crazy. Freedom of speech is absolute. Unless it is advocating for violence against other people.

Lawyers are trained to argue a case for some of the worst people in society yet they shouldn't make a case for this. Sounds hypocritical.

No one who has a soul and a conscience can condone Hamas and what they did - having said that, how do we conduce Israel and it's treatment of the people of Palestine? Where were all of these companies when the US invaded Iraq and Afghanistan and other countries for NO reason other then the US had to feed the arms industry and make massive profits for Halliburton, Blackwater, etc.,

One thing, if you call opposing Israel antisemitism, you are one of those to blame.
A nation is not a faith and I'm confident that you were aware of that even before I came along.
Nothing can justify murder, or unjust occupation or the bilateral provocations that lead to it/them.
