Jude Blanchette is seen a high-profile member of the New China Watchers from the West. China Watchers are in a super toxic bubble currently(esp. the young ones), they recommend each other and prop up each other and Jude is among a set that is highly referenced in that crowd.

His Star Wars Analogy is so atrociously bad it completely derails anything he brings to the argument subsequently. This is the problem with analogies, if you don't have a good one, Don't Make One. Because it trivializes the serious nature of the issue and takes over the stage in the debate at the expense of the actual real world aspect that the analogy was invoked to explain in the first place.

Plus if Emperor Palpatine is his analogy then a simple reference to God Emperor Leto II Atreides
from Dune is enough to render his analogy Null and Void. What a waste.
