Knowing how to do a installation of a window ac unit can help you to quickly cool your house down. Some people may already have a central air-conditioning system in their home and perhaps it is broken and needs to be fixed but they still may want their house to be cool down quickly some people may just have homes they have no central air conditioning in them. Air-conditioning units that can fit in a window are great. Window AC units are cheap in many cases, and can be installed very quickly and should in many cases be able to be bought at Home Depot Walmart perhaps Lowe’s maybe Amazon. I installed this air-conditioner better than other people because I used the expanding foam and the expanding Foam helps to keep out bugs that might want to come in and it helps to seal the window air-conditioning unit in the window better and also helps to keep the room colder, and the house colder. Some window air-conditioning units may come with heat and some may just have air-conditioning, and a fan The small window air conditioner that I bought does not come with the heater It can make air-conditioning and has a fan. This how to video is the installation guide on how to put in a air-conditioning unit however for different types of air conditioning window units it may be different and the windows may be different as well so even though this how to video can be treated as a guide, you may need to do things that are different. TIP: immediately after unboxing, and before installing the other parts, plug it in and let it run for 5 or 10 minutes to make sure it actually works. This way if you have to take it back to the store, you don't have a lot of pieces to take back off and repack. I learned this the hard way.

Kendall, I'm 74 yrs old and never put in a Window AC unit. I just bought a midea 5000 but 35 lb weight unit. Manual did not show what the 3 slots on each side of the main unit were for but you explained it perfectly! I was gonna pay 75$ to have the unit installed but ended up doing it myself! Wow.. I know this video is quite old, but it helped me, I needed this, and it's not the first air conditioner I installed, u taught me everything I was doing wrong. I really had NO CLUE that your supposed to put the foam strip in the window where the windows lock, idk why that wasn't something I thought about bugs being able to come through there 😂 Thanks so much!!

7:36 Yes make sure you don’t drop it out the window, this was learned the hard way for me. If you like to bull rush through things, make sure you take your time with a window unit! 😂👍 Great Video!
