Someone on Adeptus Rid. mentioned that: 1. If chaos did catch and kill him, they'd parade the body around for the ultimate gloating, which leads points to the fact he might not be truly dead, and 2. If he was captured or killed, then taken away for chaos possession, his iron will and brick wall of a mind means that any basic old daemon(s) will just ricochet off it, leading to failure.
