The United States recently forced Panama to restrict access at the border of Colombia, which has resulted in many kilometers of razorwire where previously there was passage. Come to Colombia. Imagine how much more commerce could take place all throughout the Americas if there was just a normal highway. How much fuel would be saved if trucks and trains could carry goods between the Americas instead of ships. But then the worst people couldn't make money from the most vulnerable people anymore.
