The only downside to 600s in my opinion is they don’t have the same cool tech as 1000s but still have a hefty price tag and insurance rates just as high as 1000s
Had Yamaha produced a R6M or Kawasaki produced a ZX6RR I would agree with you 100%.

I've rented an R1 for a week. It was an absolute blast and I enjoyed the shit out of it, but after getting pulled over twice in a couple days [verbal warnings] I toned it down and the bike transformed into any other bike I could ride. It was almost miserable having all of that potential under me and not using it. I thought "well damn, I could do the same thing on my bike back home."

I'm grateful for the money I spent on the rental that week because that's all a liter bike will ever be for me, an occasional rental bike, not a bike I'd ever buy.

Buying an old used r6 for 14k is crazy.

I've been riding for 16 years and have owned a handful of motorcycles in those years. Started out on a 04 ZX6R 636. Went through a Dirt Bike phase, then on to a Dual Sport phase, on to a Mini Bike phase and back to Sport Bikes. Currently on a CBR1000RR. Out of ALL the motorcycles I've ever owned in 16 years the Honda Grom is the most fun to ride. 600 vs 1000 they are honestly both fun. You can wrap out the gears on a 600 and throw them around a lot easier because of less weight. With the 1000 I honestly rarely even shift out of 6th gear on the highway and they are noticeably heavier than a 600. Riding a liter bike in a smaller town with only 2 lane highways and back roads would get boring pretty fast so I would also say it depends on where you live.
And even though I'm not a fan of Suzuki let's not forget about the 750. Although I've never owned one, my old roommate did and I had access to it all the time as we let each other ride each other's motorcycles. I was able to get some decent seat time on the 750 and IF you don't mind Suzuki the 750 is the most fun to ride out of the 600 and 1000 in my opinion the 750 is the perfect street bike. I wish Honda would release a 750 since Kawasaki already has the 636 and Yamaha already has the R7. That would be awesome 🔥 it'll never happen but we can dream.

Dude it’s so crazy recognizing every road you’re on since you’ve moved back to ga I’m gonna have so many new ride spots I never thought of 😂😂

I have had a couple liter bikes. Doesn’t make sense to have all that power if you can use it to its full potential on the road. Now I ride a 24 ninja 500. Couldn’t be happier. I can wind this machine out and still have fun.

I got a gsxr750 because the value, the maintenance was the same as the 600 but with 30 more horsepower. And i can switch it into b mode and feels like a 600

I love the Aprilia Tuono (or RS) 660 sound. It's magic.

I definitely can agree with you. I have an R6 and just in love with it. I ride with a bunch of liter bikes also and in SoCal the sport bike scene is huge riding liter bikes if ur not stunting.

I enjoy how nimble and light the bike is. Either way I think as sport bike riders we all gotta support each other tbh we cut from the same cloth.

youre leaking issue in the garage typically is from a sweating water line or potentially your HVAC copper lines could be sweating and dripping down onto things below. look for exposed copper lime in the ceiling area. they should be wrapped in a black foam. if you see copper, add insultation to it to stop the dripping.

if price is a concern i'd recommend looking at the nakeds. i just picked up a 2022 mt10 with 5700 miles on it totally modded out dyno tuned re mapped flashed ecu and a bunch of aesthetic and comfort mods like tank grips, radiator guards, tail tidy, brake and clutch levers, chain adjusters, a touring windscreen, frame sliders and brand new battle axe tires for $11.5k and it came with front and rear pitbull stands, 6 quarts of yamalube and a filter. different gearing with more access to the power at lower rpm's the thing is an absolute blast. i still lean towards my ninja 650 alot of the time though as it keeps me out of trouble and its more fun on the back roads of which i have many close to home. the mt10 comes with the same electronics package the r1 has at much lower cost and its cheaper to insure. the cruise control and quick shifter are a blessing as well. i think the nakeds are slept on alot of the time because fully faired bikes are much better looking but after being on a few different 600's and 1000's i really prefer the gearing, seating position and ease of maintenance of the mt10. after owning it i dont believe i'll be purchasing another fully faired bike. just my two cents 🤙

Wishes I've been watching your channel for a while now and I really like your channel. I also like it because you're a cool guy and a little crazy. 😂

Spot on. The temptation of a 1000 is real, but in practicality, the only time you could fully use that power is cutting up on the freeway over 120. If that’s your thing on the daily, sure go for it. But if it’s just to do it once every few weeks - price ain’t worth it. 600/660 you can push it fully (for the most part) on some nice scenic backroads daily or every time you ride it. That’s the only reason I don’t have a gixxer 1000 right now. If money was no object I’d have one in my garage tomorrow.

It's not just about the power for me, but the torque of a 1000cc bike is unreal!!!!

i love the zx6R(13-18 mostly) because of its looks, power and many other features but also how Kawi never gave up on the 600cc market especially with the liter bikes now being more expensive than in the past. i wish they’d make a 750 like suzuki for that “perfect” bike appeal and i mean this in:
the price would be closer to the 600cc market as well as the weight but still has enough power to compete with the liter bikes without fully committing to one. i just wanted to put my input from what i’ve seen an experienced as a new rider but as a car guy who’s loved bikes since middle school and i seen my dad’s ninja 2010 zx6r and he let me rev it

600 is where it's at, I'll pay for less weight or better handling, but no need for more power

I had that same r6. Same color. I regret selling it. I love my 2024 xsr900 more than anything but i find myself missing my old r6. Seeing yours brought back good memories.

I started on a 2024 ZX10R for my first bike. I have been riding for about 90 days at this point. I would not trade it for any other bike. That's a sick R6 bro!!!! Great video!!!!

I completely agree, Previously owned a 22 MT09 SP (sadly got wrecked because a driver not paying attention hit me) but upgraded to an MT10 SP not even a month ago and I regret it, I should have patiently waited for the 24 MT09 SP because for me that bike was perfect, it was the ultimate balance of a MT07 and an MT10
