Those things are a booger (lol) and often much harder than a native hip joint! We often have to sneak a little beyond moderate sedation to do them, but they sure are satisfying!! I think he just used straight traction.

As a doctor of PT this is always in the back of my mind when working with posterior hip replacement patients. Was that the method used for replacement in this patients case? I’ve had several patients who never rehabbed their hips and this was a recurrent issue for them that eventually resulted in them not using their leg for anything, which is the worst thing to do.

This is the one thing that I can’t watch or makes me cringe in medicine. I can watch any type of surgery, bones sticking out, but a dislocated joint nope it makes me flinch in second hand pain every time

Maaan i didn't know they can dislocate, as a 26 Yo with two total hip replacements this worries me lol.
